Dog on Studland Beach

Knoll Beach in Studland Bay

The long golden stretches of sand at Poole and Bournemouth are the easiest beaches to reach from Launceston Farm and the good news is that certain sections of the beach (Branksome Dene Chine, Alum Chine, Middle Chine and Durley Chine) are dog friendly all year around.  You can also walk the ten miles along the promenade with your dog throughout the year, stopping off at cafes for ice creams and hot chocolates along the way, but there are some restrictions in place from 1st May to 30th September when your dog must be on a lead.

Studland Bay (pictured) also has restrictions between 1st May and 30th September when dogs must be on a lead but outside these peak times you can explore this beautiful coastal habitat freely with your dog.  Ringstead Bay, Chesil Beach and Durdle Door are all fabulous dog walking spots and are dog friendly all year around.
